Please join FHN for our 35th annual Walk to Remember

Walk to Remember

The Walk to Remember is a special ceremony for parents and families who have lost a baby (through miscarriage, stillbirth, or newborn loss) to honor and remember their loved one.

This year our walk will be a virtual walk. We are asking that families take some time to walk together in honor of your loved one between September 4 and September 18. You may want to invite family and friends to take a walk out to the FHN infant memorial tree.

Share your photos with us! Photos may be shared publicly in the hopes your experience can help others who are grieving a perinatal loss.

A small virtual ceremony will be held and your child’s name (your choice of full name, baby “Smith”, or first name only) will be read during the service if you grant us permission to do so.

All those who register will receive an ornament and a link to the virtual ceremony prior to October 4. We will then place your baby’s name on the ornament and hang it on the FHN Infant Memorial Tree located across from Bidwell Park. Families are invited to remove and decorate the ornament after the ceremony as a keepsake. After November 1, 2020, all remaining ornaments from the FHN Infant Memorial Tree will be removed.

Please RSVP below by September 18, 2020.

By sharing your baby's name with FHN, you give permission for FHN to read the name on a video that may be seen by the general public. If you would like an ornament but do not wish to have the child’s name read out loud on the video, please contact Barb Lessman at 815-801-4195 or blessman@fhn.org.
