Class designed to prepare students in grades 6- 8 to be safe when they're home alone or babysitting. Full-day course is $50, which includes the Safe Sitter Essentials Student Handbook and completion card and basic CPR skill practice. (Class does not qualify for CPR certification.) We invite you to attend our information session to learn how the FHN Hospice Team of registered nurses, social workers, certified nursing assistants, chaplain, and volunteers can assist you and your loved ones during this time.

If you need Advance Directives Assistance, we can help. The FHN Hospice Team will share the knowledge they have gained working with patients and their families and keep you informed of what to anticipate along the way.

Allow the FHN Hospice Team to hold your hand and walk with you through this journey. The FHN Hospice Team provides physical, emotional, and spiritual end-of-life support to patients and their families. FHN Hospice focuses not on dying but on living well and with dignity during the patient’s remaining time with family and friends.

Learn more about the FHN Hospice team of caregivers and how we help people at the end of life focus not on dying but living well and with dignity. Our team includes registered nurses, social workers, certified nursing assistants, chaplain, and volunteers. Information and assistance with Advance Directives will be available at this free event, open to the public.

Participants can pick up their supply of produce, milk, eggs, and frozen and canned meats from the Mobile Rx Pantry program, a partnership between FHN's Connect the D.O.T.S. (Doors of Team Support) and the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
Free blood pressure screenings are available inside the mall from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. during each event. Social distancing will be practiced. Volunteers will prepare baskets and deliver directly to participant vehicle trunks. No vouchers will be needed. For more information, call 815-599-6317.

The FHN Family Counseling Center is working with the State of Illinois and local and national law enforcement to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs and educate the public about the potential for abuse of medications.
