Freeport Public Library, 100 E. Douglas Street, Freeport
The monthly Community Health Forum events, presented by the Stephenson County Health Department and FHN, continue in September with a program on how exposure to chemicals in our environments can make us sick.
Dr. Jack Hermann will talk about how exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals can result in ailments ranging from endocrine (hormone) abnormalities and cancer to obesity and reproductive failure.
The forum is free and open to the public. It begins at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12 at the Freeport Public Library, 100 E. Douglas Street in Freeport. Refreshments will be served, and no registration is necessary. The session will be moderated by Alan Wenzel, and participants are encouraged to participate in the discussion.
