Partners in Giving (PiG) Employee Fundraising Drive

Each year FHN staff, providers, volunteers, and board members generously contribute to the internal fundraising campaign to purchase items that have direct impact on our patients. A committee of volunteers from various departments plans the drive by selecting a theme, activities and door prizes to encourage employee giving.

Employees began supporting their Foundation with donations in 1999 to assist the organization in purchasing equipment that will allow FHN to best keep up with the quickly advancing technology. Since that time, over $1.6 million has been raised.

This year's 2016 OlymPiG Campaign committee took their role of stewarding the $80,000 very seriously as they considered over $150,000 in requests from various departments. Some of the items selected include:

  • Infrared thermometers
  • Digital baby scale
  • Stryker Wheelchair
  • High-back chairs for the waiting rooms
  • Traction table for patients with back issues
  • Oxygen concentrator for cardiac rehab patients
  • Padded adjustable boomerang arm for lab draws
  • Glidescope for intubating patients in need
  • Ergonomic sonography chair
  • Vital signs monitor
  • Powered exam table
  • Centrifuge
