Overview of work provided:
I coordinate and facilitate strategies that focus on substance abuse prevention in youth. I currently facilitate an evidence-based youth prevention education curriculum to middle school students in Stephenson County that helps with setting short- and long-term goals. Opioid education is currently being included along with the curriculum which allows me to assist students in developing and enhancing healthy habits and positive characteristics. I also work with a youth advisory committee to implement communication campaigns targeting substance use prevention among youth.

In addition, I work with community members, schools, other agencies, and community coalitions to implement chosen strategies within our communities through data collected from the Illinois Youth Survey.
