Pelvic Health Rehabilitation Can Help With Pain, Incontinence Issues

7/9/2012

Problems with pelvic pain or incontinence can seriously affect a person's quality of life. FHN is proud to offer outpatient pelvic health rehabilitation at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport.

Licensed occupational therapist Tina Morgan OTR/L, has completed advanced training from the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and can help patients experiencing problems from incontinence to prolapse, urinary frequency and pelvic pain.

“With a combination of manual therapy, biofeedback, body mechanics education and individualized home exercise programs and breathing and relaxation education, many of my patients are able to find some relief,” Morgan says.

"If you are experiencing problems with incontinence or urinary frequency, talk to your healthcare provider about a referral for pelvic rehabilitation as your first step toward controlling these issues"
