Learn How to Keep Your Cardiovascular System Healthy at February 22 Presentation
2/22/2012, 5:30 p.m.
FHN cardiologist Prasad Kilaru, MD, FASCAI, FACC will discuss the cardiovascular system and various treatment options available for cardiovascular problems, such as stents and angioplasties, at an FHN Speakers Series presentation during American Heart Month in February.
Our cardiovascular systems are remarkable, containing over 60,000 miles of veins, arteries and capillaries and pumping the equivalent of 4,000 gallons of blood through them every day. Our hearts are at the center of this system, beating over 100,000 times a day. Keeping the heart and cardiovascular system healthy and strong are essential keys to a long, active life. To help attendees learn how to do just that, Dr. Kilaru will review coronary artery disease and how to treat and prevent it as well as discussing the health of the cardiovascular system overall, including procedures offered at the FHN Judy and Virgil Bocker Cardiovascular Center at FHN Memorial Hospital.
The program will begin at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22 at FHN Family Healthcare Center Burchard Hills, 1010 W. Fairway Drive in Freeport. Free blood pressure screens will be offered for program attendees.
This program is open to the public and free to attend; registration is encouraged. For more information or to register, visit www.fhn.org/heart or call toll-free 1-877-6000-FHN (1-877-600-0346) ext. 901.
