Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid, CPR & AED

This course is designed to teach community members how to perform high-quality CPR, first aid, and proper AED (Automated External Defibrillator) use specific to infants and children.

The course will enable participants to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED based on the AHA (American Heart Association) guidelines. This is a hands on learning program to maximize learning for participants.

Course Content

  • High-quality CPR for children and infants
  • First Aid Basics
  • Controlling bleeding & bandaging
  • Burns & electrical related injuries
  • Allergic reactions
  • Heat or cold-related injuries
  • Poison emergencies
  • Fractures and sprains
  • Use of an AED
  • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults, children, and infants

This full-day course is $60.00 which includes the Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Student Workbook and CPR certification card that is valid for 2 years.
